The Bhurtpore Inn

What a gem this is! Its a bit out of the way, located in the village of Aston which is about halfway between Nantwich and Whitcurch, but well worth the visit. As far as the beers go its hard to know where to start. There are 11 real ales on tap and a fine selection of foreign beers as well, check out the Belgian beers on a visit.

The pub has a bit of a history, being named after a fort in India which was finally overcome by Lord Combermere, the pub being part of the Combermere estate. This may have something to do with the fact that the pub serves up excellent curries. So what more could you ask for ? Bags of character, an excellent range of beers and good curry. Nirvana does exist - just envy the locals, and don't miss it.

***** [ five stars]
